As the earliest international textile trade show, Munich Fabric Start opened the new season twice early with a vast selection of collections ranging from plains to Haute Couture fabrics and accessories. More than 1 000 international suppliers from 37 countries, including many renowned fabric and accessories manufacturers, presented some 1 500 collections in Munich. They offered the textile and fashion industry a broad, strong portfolio to source for the new season.

Continuously raising the bar on inspiration, information and innovation, Munich Fabric Start has positioned itself as the leading trade show for textiles and accessories. Each season their rigorously selected portfolio draws more than 20 000 visitors to Munich from across Europe, including buyers and designers for the most influential retailers and fashion brands.

Every season is summarized in trend themes for womenswear and menswear, one theme is dedicated to denim and sportswear. The Trend Areas showcase the theme related highlights of the season.

The sample Areas provide information in the respective halls about the suppliers’ ranges and are spread across the entire exhibition area into hall 5. Out of about 10 000 samples submitted by the suppliers, a selection of some 2 500 fabrics and latest developments was presented accordingly to the trends.

The elaborately staged Colour Forum was located in the lobby in front of hall 1 to 4 and visualizes the selected trend colours of the season.

The Trend Code documented the season with atmospherically designed impressions from art, culture, architecture and design, the world of theatre and movies. The key fabrics and colours of the season as well as the latest technical developments are incorporated. Munich Fabric Start analyzed the trendsetting catwalk highlights into high-selling collection tableaux. This was complemented by revealing colour compositions that pinpoint the principal colours with their associated accent tones at an early point in time. A service that offered valuable additional information which can be introduced into the workflow direct.
